Festival of Lights
Spreading joy and lighting up the world of others.
The celebration of Diwali is a time to reflect on and evaluate our thoughts, words, and actions over the past year. It's a time to discover how we can be more loving, kind, and respectful towards ourselves and others.
To make the day memorable students of classes V & VI organised a special assembly where they presented an extravaganza that featured poems, music, roleplay, dance, and drama. The celebrations began with a prayer to the almighty that brought peace and love into the hearts and thoughts of all present. Children discussed the significance of the celebration, how virtue has always triumphed over evil, as well as the origins and traditions of Diwali in India. Along with educating everyone on the negative impacts of crackers, they also disseminated information about environmentally-beneficial Diwali celebration possibilities.
Students’ excellent assembly presentation inspired a sense of triumph of virtue over evil, knowledge over ignorance, light over darkness, and hope over dejection. Parents' special performance was a beautiful surprise that was appreciated by the audience. It was commendable to see the participation of all the students in this program.
