Children from Junior School visit the Delhi Zoo
Animals have forever held attraction for kids. And in these modern times, where hours are filled with learning and electronics, we as educators, realise that students need to experience nature first hand. What better way than a visit to the Zoo? 65 children from our Junior School visited the zoo earlier this month. The fun-filled trip helped forge many memories - of a walk in the sun, of flora and fauna, and of cementing friendships. The students even ran mini-competitions - to see who could spot more animals. Bengal Tigers, Lions, Elephants, Hippos, Deer, Monkeys and even Swans made it to the top of the list. A few lucky children even saw a couple of White Tigers basking in the warm sun. The most fun though, was meeting the talkative monkeys - their antics and their similarity to humans left most of the children bemused and full of tales. A sumptuous round of snacks and drinks rounded up the fun day.
