Empowering Girls: Addressing Menstrual Challenges and Promoting Hygiene

A recent workshop on 18 May 2023 at Manava Bharati International School aimed to empower girls from class VII to XII by addressing menstrual challenges and promoting hygiene. Dr. Rumpa Chatterjee, an expert from the University College of Medical Science & Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, conducted the workshop. Dr. Rumpa Chatterjee simplified the workshop content to suit the students' understanding. She addressed misconceptions surrounding menstruation and provided accurate scientific knowledge. The workshop emphasized maintaining proper hygiene during menstrual cycles. A question-answer session allowed students to engage and clarify doubts. Dr. Rumpa provided accurate information, dispelling misconceptions. The workshop raised awareness about the consequences of poor hygiene and the importance of proper practices. The workshop encouraged open conversations and broke taboos. It created a supportive environment for discussing menstrual health and hygiene, fostering empowerment and knowledge sharing.
