Van Mahotsav Report - 2022
“Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves.” - Stephen Moss
Keeping this enlightening thought in mind, on 25th July 2022, Manava Bharati observed the tree planting festival ‘Van Mahotsav’. Like every year the main idea behind celebrating this festival was to inculcate social accountability in students to protect the forests and practice eco-friendly ways to conserve the environment. This day also commemorates the inception of our school in 1941 by its founder, late Dr. Durga Prasad Pandey.
The School was buzzing with activities planned for students across all levels. An art activity bearing the theme, 'Let's recycle and reuse' was planned for classes and a drawing competition for the juniors was arranged to showcase the talent of our budding artists. The middle school expressed their thoughts through a 'Poster making with a slogan' competition. The senior students indulged in a sculpture crafting competition that bore the theme, 'Good out of Waste'.
The ceremony was graced by our esteemed chief guest, Dr. Anurag Sharma, and the Director of the school. Dr. Sharma is a notable personality and an alumnus of the school. The chief guest was presented a sapling, a symbol of constant development, as a token of gratitude.
In the end, our chief guests accompanied by the management team planted a sapling while "Dhono Dhanno pushpe Bhora" played in the background.
