Museum of Motoring Heritge - A Visit
Heritage Transport Museum, Gurugram is an amazing place to satisfy anyone’s quench for vintage cars. Manava Bharati India International School organised a visit for the students of Class VI to this amazing Museum. It took us one and a half hours from Delhi. This museum is run by a transport enthusiast, Tarun Thakral, founder and managing trustee of the Heritage Transportation Trust, is a unique kind of Indian car collector. This museum is one of the hidden gem in NCR. It had included every mode of transport be it wheels, cart, rickshaws, bicycles, 2, 3 & 4 wheeler. It also had a prototype of railways train and platform along with planes and ships. Children loved the explanation about the entire gallery on the Guide Headphones which were available from the museum reception.
The place was very well designed. There were not just vehicles, it gave the children details about the history related to transport. Many books, paintings, toy cars of those times were also exhibited. They also got a glimpse of air and sea travel. All the students loved the museum as there was a lot of learning about the evolution of transport.
