Spellbinding Fun at the Inter-House Junior School Spell Bee 2023
Piglet: “How do you spell love?. Pooh: “You don't spell it,you feel it.” - A.A. Milne.
The air was charged with excitement as our Junior School students from classes III and IV gathered in the school's auditorium on a bright and sunny morning for the Inter-House Junior School Spell with the quiz master, Mary Ann Vaishoha. It was a day filled with words, wits, and wonderful moments that showcased the linguistic prowess of our young scholars.
The event kicked off with great enthusiasm as our four houses, Vikramshila, Panchshila, Takshashila and Nalanda, competed in a series of spelling challenges.
The competition was fierce, with each house putting forward their best spellers. Words were thrown at the participants with increasing difficulty, challenging them to think on their feet and spell accurately. It was a sight to behold as these young spellers confidently stepped up to the mic, tackled challenging words, and impressed everyone with their spelling abilities.
As the rounds progressed, the tension in the auditorium increased with the audience cheering for their respective houses. In the end, it was Panchshila house that emerged victorious, clinching the first position. However, every house gave a commendable performance and the Inter-House Junior School Spell Bee was not only a competition but also a great learning opportunity. It was indeed a testament to the spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship that our students displayed throughout the event.
